The digits in a PVC tape part number are the roll size: the first two are the width in millimetres, the rest the length in metres. IZ 1510S is a 15 mm × 10 m roll, IZ 1920S is the same tape in a 19 mm × 20 m roll. IZC 1510 and IZC 1920 follow the same rule. The most popular with buyers is the S series, car service tapes IZ 1510S and IZ 1920S.

Adhesive tapes are not subject to mandatory certification in Russia and are made to technical specifications (TU). The specs in the catalogue are confirmed by tests: every batch has a test report, and a batch outside the tolerance never goes on sale. PVC tapes work from −18 to +105 °C, the IZC series is made for frost. Fabric IZT tapes take up to +150 °C. Exact data is in the specs of each product.

Yes, if the series is made for frost. Ordinary tape stiffens and cracks in the cold. For winter take IZC, it stays flexible down to −18 °C.

Degrease the surface with isopropyl alcohol, apply above +10 °C and press the tape firmly along its whole length. The bond reaches full strength in 24 hours.

Stretch the tape two or three times before wrapping, the tension is what starts fusing. Wrap with a half-width overlap. It fully fuses within 24 hours.
